The 3rd Annual SLT One-Act Play Festival
|
The One Act Festival is a competition to award the best actor/actress, best director, etc. However, it is a great platform for original work as there are not many opportunities for playwrights to showcase their talent. This event should appeal to those that want to perform but are afraid to audition, those that want to direct but have not had the opportunity to do so, and those that want to get involved but have not found the right show yet. This is really a great opportunity to be guaranteed a chance to participate.

**************
criteria for the festival are as follows:
- Each entry will have one hour - 5 minutes to set up/5 minutes to tear down/50 minutes maximum for performance
- Set must be portable
- Casting is up to the director - Conduct Auditions/Select your performers
- Rehearsals can be conducted on your own as the set will have to be portable anyway. It is possible to practice in your back yard!
The theater will be reserved for approximately one week so that all acts can have at least one/two chances to rehearse in the theater.
